Reconciliation Opening Ceremonies Officially Launched!

Posted 16/01/19 in NEWS

On Saturday, 16 January 2016, facilitator and Cayuga artist, Samuel Thomas officially launched his new contemporary art project, Opening the Doors to Dialogue.

Nia:wen to all the survivors and their families who attended and listened to the church apologies. We are grateful to general public, and our friends and neighbours who are keen to be actively involved.

The beading sessions that are affiliated with this art project at Woodland are fully subscribed; therefore registrations are now closed.

For regular updates on this project, please visit Sam’s face book page, www.facebook.com/doors2dialogue (and don’t forget to ‘like’).

We are thankful for the number of people who attended the opening on Saturday (over 100!), and look forward to the continued path to reconciliation and healing.

This project has been made possible by the generous financial contributions of The J.W. McConnell Family Foundation, he Circle on Philanthropy and Aboriginal Peoples in Canada, and Canada Council for the Arts.
