The Woodland Cultural Centre's Education Programme has a Part-Time Cultural Interpreter position available. The Part-Time Cultural Interpreter would assist the other Cultural Interpreters to facilitate programming in cultural education , traditional cultural crafts as well as tours of the museum and residential school to school groups and the general public. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in facilitating existing workshops to visiting groups. - Provide public tours of the museum, Residential School and changing art Exhibitions. - Assist with space set up for visitors and tour groups, materials and supplies needed for workshops being presented. - Assist with orientation and smooth flow of tours and groups. Qualifications and Skills: - Possess good communication skills - Possess knowledge of Residential School, specifically Mohawk Institute. - Have understanding of history of Six Nations and Haudenosaunee culture. - Enjoy working with the public - Reliable and demonstrate interpersonal and problem solving skills - Understand the social and political context of the Woodland Cultural Centre Museum, Education program and Art galleries to First Nations - Traditional craft and artistic ability an asset If interested please respond as soon as possible.
