Join us for an evening with Tracey Lindberg  as she reads from "Birdie" - October 30 at 7pm. This reading will be followed by an interview with the author.

This event will also feature a performance by Six Nations singer/songwriter Lacey Hill!

This event is free and open to the public.

Tracey Lindberg is a citizen of As’in’i’wa’chi Ni’yaw Nation Rocky Mountain Cree and hails from the Kelly Lake Cree Nation community. She is an award-winning academic writer and teaches Indigenous studies and Indigenous law at two universities in Canada. Lindberg presents her debut novel, Birdie, the story of an extraordinary Cree woman who travels to the deepest part of herself to find the strength to face the past and to build a new life.

Literacy on Tour (Lit On Tour) is a programme that aims to present literary events to a wide range of communities outside of Toronto. One of the main initiatives of Lit On Tour is the International Festival of Authors’ touring programme, IFOA Ontario.
