Work at the Museum this Summer

Woodland seeks a student who is currently enrolled in secondary, post secondary or within six months of graduation, and are between the ages of 15 – 25 (or 29 if disabled) to fill the job position of Museum Assistant from 6 July – 21 August 2015 at minimum wage.

If you are highly motivated, and interested in working with the museum collection, changing exhibitions, conducting research and assisting in special events we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities include; maintaining exhibition areas, and preventative conservation strategies.  Knowledge and skills we are looking for are; communication skills, computer literate, self-motivated and highly independent.  Knowledge of at least one native language is considered an asset.

Students interested in museum studies, history/heritage, archaeology, anthropology, indigenous studies, higher education, and/or cultural tourism are welcome to apply.  We are willing to train the right candidate.
