 Part-Time Job Position Available

 
The Woodland Cultural Centre has one part-time job position available as a Part-Time Cultural Interpreter.​ 

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in facilitating existing workshops to visiting groups.

Provide public tours of the museum, Residential School and changing art Exhibitions.

Assist with space set up for visitors and tour groups, materials and supplies needed for workshops being presented.

Assist with orientation and smooth flow of tours and groups.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

Possess good communication skills

Possess knowledge of Residential School, specifically Mohawk Institute.

Have understanding of history of Six Nations and Haudenosaunee culture.

Enjoy working with the public

Reliable and demonstrate interpersonal and problem solving skills

Understand the social and political context of the Woodland Cultural Centre Museum, Education program and Art galleries to First Nations

Traditional craft and artistic ability an asset

 

Training and Supervision:

The Education Departments staff will provide training for tours and workshop presentations.  Emergency and security procedures will be provided and a calendar of events and a schedule of responsibilities will always be clearly laid out.
