Beading With Cheryl Red Eagle

Posted 13/07/18 in NEWS

Cheryl Red Eagle works in the Woodland Cultural Centre’s Museum Education Department as School Registrar and Cultural Interpreter, booking and conducting tours for all ages.  On June 29th, we were lucky to have Cheryl share her talents as a bead worker and facilitate a special weekend beading workshop. This was a very popular workshop and a total of 16 participants created their own original piece, with the option of creating earrings or a pendant.  The subject matter of the beaded works ranged from flowers, butterflies to bear paws.  Not only did participants learn a new artistic skill in this workshop, but they were able to take the time to sit, create, share stories and laugh along with fellow participants.

Congratulations to Dana Martin who won the random draw for a beautifully hand beaded necklace, created by Cheryl Red Eagle.
