Posted 16/07/12 in NEWS

The Woodland Cultural Centre is a recommender for two Ontario Arts Council Programs: Exhibition Assistance & Aboriginal Artists – Materials and Supplies.

Program for: Individuals and Artists Collectives
Purpose: The program provides grants of $500 to $1,500 to assist individual artists with costs related to presenting their work in an exhibition.
Grant decisions are made through third-party recommenders (public art galleries, artist-run centres and arts service organizations) throughout the province. Artists must apply directly to a recommender located in the zone in which they live. Approved applications are forwarded to OAC by the recommender once the decision to award a grant has been made.
Eligibility: This program is open to Ontario-based professional visual artists, craft artists, media artists and artist collectives who have a confirmed, upcoming public exhibition. Exhibitions in Ontario, in other Canadian provinces and in international locations are all eligible.
Students enrolled full-time in undergraduate or graduate level studies are not eligible.
Applications recieved on an ongoing basis until February 10, 2017

Program for: Individuals
Purpose: To support First Nations, Inuit and Métis artists working in the visual arts, crafts or traditional/customary Indigenous art forms to create art work. The program provides grants of $500 towards the cost of buying art materials and supplies.
Eligibility: This program is open to First Nations (Status and Non-Status), Inuit and Métis artists working in the visual arts, crafts or traditional Indigenous art forms.
